Vusic Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Vusic app and vusic.live. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Vusic is operated by Stephen Brooks ("Vusic", "we", "us"). Contact: support@vusic.live
1. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 to use Vusic (older where your country requires it). You're responsible for your account credentials and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, and you can delete yours at any time in Settings → Account settings → Delete account.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post.
By posting, you grant Vusic a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example, to generate thumbnails or resize for display), publish and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting Vusic. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others and copies retained in backups until purged.
You promise that you have the rights to what you post, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
Music
Vusic integrates with Spotify and Apple Music. Playback of full tracks happens through those services and requires your own active subscription with them; their terms apply to that playback. Attaching a song to a post does not transfer any rights in that recording to you or to Vusic. Don't upload recordings you don't have the rights to.
3. Rules
Don't:
- Post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent, or that promotes self-harm.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with an artist or organisation.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, or anyone's privacy or publicity rights.
- Spam, run scams, manipulate engagement, or use bots.
- Scrape Vusic, reverse-engineer it, break its security, or interfere with its operation.
- Sell counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited goods through the merch shop.
We may remove content and suspend accounts for breaking these rules. You can report content in-app via the "..." menu on a post.
Acceptable use and monetization
Vusic's paid features — tips, ticketed events, paid questions, boosts, memberships and the merch shop — may not be used to monetize, and you may not receive any payment, coin or other value for, content in these categories:
- Adult content and services: content that contains nudity or explicit sexual acts, including subscriber-only or members-only nude images and adult audio or video live chat.
- Intellectual property or proprietary rights infringement: content that uses another person's trademarks, name, likeness or other proprietary rights without permission.
- Copyright-infringing content: recordings, videos, artwork or other works you do not hold the rights to, including leaked or unreleased music.
- Violent extremism and hate: content that engages in, encourages, promotes or celebrates unlawful violence, or hate speech toward any group based on race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or any other immutable characteristic.
Every post, comment and message is screened by automated moderation when it is created, and anyone can report content in-app. Content that violates this policy is removed, any earnings connected to it are withheld or reversed, and the account that posted it is suspended or terminated.
4. Vusic Coin
Vusic Coin is a virtual item for use inside Vusic only. It is not money, not a currency, not a stored-value instrument, and not redeemable for cash.
- Coin is purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play, subject to their terms and refund policies. Purchases are handled by them, not by us.
- Coin can be used to tip creators, buy tickets to Vusic Coin events, boost your posts, and ask paid questions.
- Coin purchases are final. Refunds, where available at all, are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
- You cannot transfer coin between accounts other than through in-app features, sell it, or exchange it outside Vusic.
- Unspent coin has no cash value and is forfeited if your account is deleted or terminated.
- We may change coin pricing or what features cost, prospectively.
Creator earnings
When someone spends coin on your ticketed event, paid question, or similar feature, you receive the creator's share stated in-app at the time (currently 70%, with Vusic retaining 30%). Tips are passed through in full. Balances shown in-app reflect coin, not cash, and coin cannot currently be cashed out.
Cancelled events
If you cancel a ticketed event, every ticket holder is refunded their full ticket price in coin automatically, and the share you received is debited from your balance. You must hold enough coin to cover this in order to cancel.
5. Merchandise
Artists list and sell their own physical merchandise. Vusic provides the storefront and payment processing (via Stripe); the artist is the seller.
- The artist is responsible for describing items accurately, fulfilling and shipping orders, and handling returns and customer service.
- Vusic retains a 30% platform fee on merchandise sales; the artist receives the remainder via Stripe.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms. We never handle your card details.
- Disputes about an item are between you and the artist, though you can contact us at support@vusic.live and we'll help where we can.
If you sell on Vusic, you're responsible for your own taxes, for complying with consumer law where you ship, and for having the right to sell what you list.
6. Live events
Scheduled events may be free, ticketed through an external platform the host links to, or ticketed in Vusic Coin. For externally-ticketed events, Vusic only displays the host's link and has no involvement in that sale. Hosts are responsible for actually delivering the event they advertise.
7. Availability
Vusic is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change or be removed. Some features depend on third parties (Spotify, Apple Music, Apple, Google, Stripe) and may stop working if those services change.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vusic is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Vusic is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) 100 USD.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Vusic against claims arising from your content, your use of Vusic, your breach of these terms, or, if you sell on Vusic, from the goods you sell.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; if a change is material we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use Vusic after that means you accept the change. You may stop using Vusic and delete your account at any time.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer protections you have under the law where you live.
